How do we operate?

We sell secondhand clothing primarily online as well as on our WhatsApp group, Little Lenders Deals, where members receive exclusive updates about new products, latest uploads, sale details and more. Members also receive exclusive access to products at discounted prices and discount codes. You can join this WhatsApp group at any time!

Why sell clothing to us?

Trying to sell your child’s clothing on Facebook Marketplace or secondhand WhatsApp groups is so 2020! Let us make it easy for you. Clear up and save space in your home by sorting through and packing all the items you’d like to get rid of. Send them to us and get paid upfront – you don’t have to wait to receive your payment (unless we have specifically agreed to enter into a consignment arrangement with you). We know South Africans love to donate clothes but we are offering to pay you for these clothes to help you make some money back! Finally, promote a more sustainable future by selling your child’s clothes and reintegrating them into the clothing cycle.

How can you sell clothing to us?

PRE-SALE PROCEDURE

If you are keen to sell some of your child’s clothing, contact us via Instagram, WhatsApp Business or email. Please note that, due to high demand and volume, there is a significant waiting period of 6 to 8 weeks for sellers to have their items inspected and quoted.

When contacting us, please take note of the following:

  • Please advise for which gender(s) and what size(s) the clothes are that you’d like to sell. Generally, we purchase clothing for boys and girls in sizes newborn to 6 years. We are currently looking for clothing over size 12 months.
  • Please indicate the particular brands of clothes that you’d like to sell. We buy higher quality items from brands like Earthchild, H&M, Naartjie, Zara, Gap, Country Road, Keedo, Cotton On, boutique brands, foreign brands, etc. We do not accept Pick ‘n Pay, Jet or Pep clothing. We accept Woolworths clothing if still in very good condition. We try to avoid clothes with stains, holes, rips, etc. Unless specifically requested, please do not send pictures of the clothing as we carry out our own inspections.
  • Please advise how may items you’d like to sell. We buy a minimum of 20 items.
  • Finally, please indicate where you are based. Sellers have the option to courier items to us or drop items off with us in Fourways. If you would like to have your items couriered to us, we will pay to have a large box/package shipped via Pudo to a locker near us for collection – you can contact us directly to arrange this (PLEASE NOTE THAT WE HAVE A 2 TO 4 WEEK WAITING PERIOD FOR WAYBILLS). You will be responsible for packing and packaging the clothing. In the case of consignment arrangements, the seller is responsible for shipping items to us.

We conduct inspections of the clothing at our studio. Regrettably, we do not carry out inspections of clothing at other locations.

Please ensure that you only send items to us that are clean and in good, sellable condition. Additionally, please only send items that meet the criteria listed above.

Kindly note that we prefer not to review items listed on alternative secondhand selling platforms. We kindly request that you refrain from sharing links to these platforms. You will need to adhere to our selling policy detailed above.

POST-SALE PROCEDURE

Once we have received your items, we will inspect them and provide you with an offer within 4 to 6 weeks weeks of receipt thereof. We cannot provide you with an offer or price estimate before we have inspected the clothing.

If the offer is accepted, we will pay you for the items via EFT or in store credit, and/or enter into a consignment arrangement for certain items.

Please note that we have a very strict selection criteria and reserve the right to reject any and/or all items that we receive. If we reject any or all of your items, you can choose to have the clothes sent back to you. In addition, sellers are not compelled to accept our offers and can then also choose to have the clothes returned. The seller will be responsible for this shipping cost, if any. Alternatively, you can permit us to donate any of your items that we have not purchased.

How does shipping work?

The Courier Guy (Pudo) is our preferred courier, as it is a fast and cost-effective shipping option for our customers. Pudo costs between R60 and R150 for delivery to a locker near you for collection or for delivery to your door (depending on the size of the package).

Collection/delivery in Fourways is free. Collections take place at Fourways Gardens Residential Estate.

All orders over R1000 receive free shipping (except during certain sale periods). This is automatically applied at checkout.

All orders are processed up to 2 working days after being placed and after payment has been received. We will not attend to shipping until we have received payment or proof thereof. Shipping generally takes between 1 to 5 days.

Upon the successful shipment of a package, we relinquish any further responsibility for the safety, security or condition of the package. Customers or sellers are solely responsible for retrieving their packages from elected Pudo lockers within the designated timeframe and are advised to take necessary precautions to ensure the safe receipt of their items. Any issues or concerns arising after the package has been delivered are the sole responsibility of the customer or seller.

Do we accept returns?

We will gladly accept returns within 10 days following delivery. Item(s) must be returned unworn and unwashed.
While the standard obligation is that the customer is responsible for shipping/delivering the item(s) back to us, we are always happy to try make return arrangements with our customers that are cost-effective and convenient.
Once we have received the item(s), we will refund the original price to you or issue you with store credit.

Do we buy our garments back?

Say hello to Little Lend Back – our very own buy-back scheme. You can resell the clothing you have purchased from us back to us.

Contact us via Instagram or email. along with photographs of the item(s) and your original invoice number. Please advise us of any new damage, stains, holes, etc.

We collect items in the Fourways area or sellers have the option to courier items to us or drop items off with us in Fourways. You will be responsible for packing, packaging and shipping of the clothing.

Once we have received your items, we will inspect them and provide you with an offer within 4 weeks of receipt thereof. We may offer you up to 50% of the items’ original purchase prices. We cannot provide you with an offer or price estimate before we have inspected the clothing. Please note that we conduct inspections of the clothing at our studio. Regrettably, we do not carry out inspections of clothing at other locations.

After the offer is accepted, we will pay you for the items via in-store credit.
